I Was looking around at the magnum research website and saw that they had some fiber optic sights. www.magnumresearch.com//sights/magnum-research-de-adjustable-fiber-optic-sightsdep-fo70996.aspI have been to the williams gunsight store in lapeer many times and would love to support a local company to me as they are just 30 miles east of me. Im not sure if I would order them from MRI or Probably go direct if price is right. But I have been a fan of fiber optics before. Just seeing if anyone had any experience with fiber optics on a eagle or if you had any experience with these sights in particular

Ok, I know this is old, but I got a set of these a while back and wanted to comment. I put mine on a US made slide and 6" US made 357 Magnum barrel (with external muzzle brake) and it shot way high. I ran out of travel on my rear site immediately. (EDIT: The Williams FireSight is designed for Desert Eagles with serial numbers starting with DE or DK, which is why they weren't height appropriate on mine, probably.) I ended up about 4" high at 25 yards. It was really close at 180 yards... That is a LONG way for me, even propped, with a 6" barrel pistol. I am not accurate enough at 180 yards to tell you if was high or low, but I could hit the 12" gong fairly regular at that range, and elevation was close to center when I did hit it. Not sure how much drop a 357 would have at that range... but it was way too high at the normal distances I shoot well. For now I got a much taller (.305") front site from Dawson Precision which I will try soon and see if my calculations get me back closer to the center of my adjustment. The last thing I want on a heavy pistol is a taller "snag-all" front sight, so I don't consider this a very fun project so far. If you search online, you will see this same elevation issue reported in reviews of Williams DE sights. I used the Dawson Precision sight calculator to figure the needed height based on where I was hitting. As soon as we get a break from the rain, I will see how well the Dawson site and sight worked to correct this. MrBlackCat UPDATE: It finally stopped raining and was able to shoot a bit today. So when I got to the Desert Eagle 357, the new Dawson Precision front blade sight worked great. The .305 height put the Williams rear sight adjustment about the middle of its travel. If you wanted your rear sight lower, you could probably get away with a shorter sight than the .305 I got, but this worked fine with my combination of parts. Hope this helps! Happy Shootin!
