This was reported on a reloading forum by a member. He didn't deprime before cleaning brass in his pin tumbler, It would also hold true if you use an ultrasonic cleaner or any other wet method. He would dry the brass by putting them in the sun for a day. Then bin stored till needed, after some that had been stored 2 years(.308) He found the primers hard to remove. Seems that the solution mixed with the dirtiness that is left in the primer pocket caused corrosion or something to stick the primer in the hole. Galvanic corrosion from dissimilar metals. that comes to mind. The top of the primer came off and left the rest in the primer hole. Granted part of the problem could be the size of the brass and flash hole, doesn't allow the water to evaporate. You could deprimer right after cleaning, dry in a food dehydrator, under heat lamps or in a toaster oven. Everybody has their steps in prepping brass, and it is something to take in consideration. When I have used a wet cleaning method, I have always deprimed first.
