I know they released the 357 mag l5 and are newly releasing the l5 44 mag. But Any hear say on if we are getting a 50 ae in a 5 inch barrel config instead of just the l6? I think it would be cool, might not be as light but still a nice well balanced pistol.

I think it would be pretty sweet to see the L5 offered in 50 AE, but with same design I dont believe it is feasible. The L5 has a lot of extra cuts that shrink barrel material down. The 50 Ae may just be too big to work with the current iteration. More likely if they make one it will have the integral muzzle brake and be of the standard design with no cuts but 5 inches long. So you get some length and weight savings there as well as an aluminum frame, also the slide, not sure if that would be able to hold up with the cuts for long term. I seriously doubt they will make a 50 AE version, and just keep with the L6 which is still a great looking pistol, I haven't shot one but Have held one at a gun show and feels really nice and more balanced. But If Magnum research came out with a 5 inch 50 AE I would probably buy it.
