Sometimes I just get over serious about reloading. In fact I can say that my DE seen only one box of factory ammo. I was shocked at the price (even back then 44mag was expensive). I started back in 1986 with Dillon 550b. It served my needs. It loaded thousands of 44mag, 9mm, 40S&W and .223. Then in 2003 with the acquisition of a beltfed machine gun. I ended up spending way to much time in the garage. In 2006, I upgraded. It keeps up with no problems.

I love my case feeder for my 550B I like my 550B so much I went and bought a used one for the large caliber brass and 5.56 that won't feed thru the 550B case feeder. Still use the Lee Breech lock for small runs I have picked up 2 sets of dies for each caliber I load. .50AE, .SW500, .50 Beowulf, .45, 9mm, 5.56mm

How do you like the Dillon auto primer filler on your bench?

The filler worked ok. It takes a lot tuning to get operating correctly. I've noticed that if I switched primer brands, more tuning was required. I would say on the average it would flip a single primer per 2/3 tubes, but that's probably the rate I would get when manually loading the primer tubes. It never really saved me any time, because while it was running I had to watch. It always reminded me of the Pied Piper leading the rats out of the city. I sold it a while back and what I do now is load 1/2 dozen tubes before I start any long runs, and I can do that anytime before I start loading.

Thanks that's sort of what I figured I have a Frankford hand held vibrator type haven't took the time to clean and tune it since the plastic parts have flash. I do what you do load a bunch of the tubes at one time. And then load. It amazes me how many guys say they are great but they no longer own them for various reasons!

Well I was using a Vibra-prime, but it died about a year ago. Now I just put them in a tray and fill the tube.
