Well I have decided to retire my HR 20 gauge slug gun of old and replace it with a new ar build in the 50 beowulf. I have lower , and a parts kit on order. But Still searching out whether I want to build upper or buy a pre assembled one. I am leaning to buying a pre fab one due to cost of individual parts. Radical firearms has 16inch upper for 600, alexander arms is much more expensive. or i figure for what i would want building myself would be around 700-750. Any experience with Radical? Does anyone hunt with a 50 beowulf? predominately I will be going after whitetail deer or occasional various pests. I know ballistically it is limited, but in lower michigan where I live it has been a shotgun only zone for years and they opened up a few years ago with straight wall cartridges allow up to a 1.8 case length, so not just pistol caliber but a 450 bushmaster and 50 beowulf both qualify. So for me AR built for deer hunting would be a nice setup. Any thoughts or experiences?

I bought a complete 300BLK pistol direct from Radical Firearms a couple of years ago. My opinion is they are GTG. Very good quality at reasonable prices. Primary Arms is their main distributor. Seems that I've always gone for the package deals rather than build my own. Each time I've made a list and then done the math, it's ended up being cheaper to just buy a ready made....ready to shoot firearm. Don't ever leave out shipping costs in those calculations either. Many times I've found that I couldn't get everything I wanted from one single vendor, and that leads to multiple shipping charges. No hunting anything with a 50cal anything for me. I've never even thought about it. Whatever I can't do with a 44mag or 6.5x55 for hunting..........someone else can do I reckon. I quit reloading a little over a year ago due to time and cost. That may be why I avoid those uncommon calibers now. A 357SIG barrel swap on one of my Glocks was the last time I got into a caliber that was somewhat off the beaten path. Can't really call the 300BLK off the beaten path nowadays. Now if I had a 50BMG rifle and a few hundred rounds...............we wouldn't be having this discussion........I'd be out shooting it or in some other country making some serious money at my own risk.....and fighting for a 'cause'. Yeah.....I'd retire that old 20ga slug gun too. LOL!
