Well, we had a few people sign up for the forum, which is great. We do have some guest swing by the site which is great too. It would be nice for some more active members. If anyone has any ideas to try to get a few more post em up?

I came here from the yuku forum. It would be nice to have some of that information archived here. I don't know how difficult that would be. Just saying. The Desert Eagle community is kind of a niche community. While some of us are end users and fans of the pistols, you'll still get the one time hitters for information. Usually this happens when they have problems with their pistol(s). It is what it is. I'm on a number of firearms forums and once in a while I'll see a thread about Desert Eagles and I'm in on that. Sometimes I'll also take the opportunity to bring up the subject or post pics of mine. Due to the low percentage of DE owners.........things are always going to be slow. Years ago, I got out of specific forums and went to the umbrella forums where everything is discussed. Even rimfirecentral has developed into a broader spectrum to include center fire and reloading. Got away from the Glock forums because now.......Glocks are talked about everywhere there is a pistol forum. Personal defense forums are also gaining ground but the subject still gets integrated into the larger sites. If you want to keep things simple, or have limited time each day.....or you're a weekend warrior.......................you can't go looking through a whole bunch of different sites in a few hours. Its either that or claim your office chair is actually part of your anatomy. When I bought my DE 44mag several years ago there wasn't much online support. Now, that's obviously changed. I need to get out back and shoot my DE. Been sitting in the safe nearly three years now and been through two house moves. Now I live way out in the country where I can shoot whenever I want to. Things will pick up. Through the winter, folks spend more time indoors and cruise their favorite hobbies online or otherwise. I'm outside 90% of the time during the summer months. Most people are I reckon. I will spread the word about this forum on other forums I am a member of for sure. You'll probably see a lot of lurkers. Most forum sites do. Like I say.......they only join when it benefits them and usually it's for questions about problems they are having and the rest of them want to sell something and not even get involved in discussions. I've seen it way too many times. It is what it is. I'm glad you started this forum........thanks. We'll see where it goes from here. Don't get dismayed about the turnout or registered users. I've registered on some forums where it seems I'm the only spark or one man band. About a month of that is all I can stand. Anyways......here's to good luck on this forum. Stay optimistic. Be interesting to see how things are going 30 days from now.
