Thats a good sign, I have had good luck with their 10mm ammo in past. Maybe this will mean they will make 50 caliber xtreme bullets, (a sister company) which make affordable bullets. This is good news. I talked to a local ammo manufacturer at a gun show, they make new ammo small scale and they said the were even looking into the 50 ae. This can only be a good thing for desert eagle owners.

I bought 100 rounds of this Freedom Munitions .50AE to test with. As far as cycling in my Desert Eagle, it worked flawlessly. I tried some super-limp wristing and it never once failed. (Note this is with my modified gas piston.) Even with a locked everything stance it doesn't bottom out. Really nice round to me.
I did shoot all these on a barrel with a brake installed, but I will try it later with my original barrel and get a better feel for recoil.
Anyway... I really like this ammo so far. Ordering a few hundred more while they show it in stock... as I never did find any of the American Quality in .50AE.

I have fired about 400 rounds of Freedom Munitions .50AE now. I am really happy with it in 6 and 10 inch barrels. I will start a new thread when I get a chance. I have been massing .50AE ammo for the past few months. I think I have 9 brands and 12 different loadings. I might wait until I get a chronograph for this much effort. I was just wanting to try as many types of available .50AE. I will post back when I get to this point. Trying to buy a Baby Eagle III right now, so focused on that right now. They just aren't common here. New is ok, but I was hoping to save a bit buying used, but if not, Buds Guns Shop will do. Anyway, I will keep you posted on the ammo testing. This is NOT fancy... just my opinions on some backyard shooting. No gel, not likely any penetration testing etc. Chronograph would be as far as I would go. I just like to shoot.  MrBlackCat |
