I'm thinking of getting a DE 1911U 3"barrel .45. Any body have any experience with or own one. As a change off for the carry.

Well after looking into the gun It is a nice compact 1911 style but the only problem I have with it is. You would have to carry it cocked and locked, which I'm not a fan of being spoiled by the Glocks action. I decided to go with a Springfield Armory XDs, .45 cal has the safe action type trigger only .3 of an inch longer, feels good in the hand and shoots well.
