1 5/8" barrel, with the holster hand grip, with a .22 LR cylinder,.22 Win mag Cylinder comes with a lock box due to the fact a trigger lock is a pain to make work. Living in the city the raccoons are getting real big and they will stand their ground and turn and snarl/growl at you. The one I've had a run in with is to big for the extra lg live trap. and this past week there was a coyote hit by a car about 1 1/2 miles from the house. I figure this one with the CCI quiet loads will do the job on the raccoon if the need arises. Will be taking it to the range today

Those are about the cutest modern revolvers made. They have really stood the test of time in my opinion. I remember clearly when they went mainstream and every table in the gun shows has at least a few for sale. I have shot a couple of variants in 22lr, 22short, and 22 Magnum... so now I have to brag a bit. I had the advantage the first time we shot one, because I have a couple of the tiny 22 short firing "Derringer" type single shot pistols. So no one could hit anything with it at first, so they gave it to me. With a little experience and two shots I hit a quarter-sized target at 10ft. The crowd (two other people) went silent! So I am going to share my secret right here on this very thread. Ok, this is getting way too dramatic, so I will cut it short... While glenr's gun has a superior type of grip for keeping hold of these tiny guns, the majority do not. I learned to shoot them with a locked dominant hand grip... and pull the trigger with the weak hand trigger finger. It works with minimal practice. If you really need to shoot something besides paper, this can make a lot of difference. If you are another Jerry Miculek, then you won't need this technique. I have shown people this technique for over 20 years and it I consider it the most important shareable thing I have ever figured out about firearms. I have seen this increase the enjoyment and effectiveness of several small firearms in this size class over the years. I hope it helps. Looking forward to hearing of your experience at the range with one of the cutest guns made in modern times. MrBlackCat

Made it to the range finally, As been said this gun is what it is. And I will admit Hickok's vid on it, was good and he hits what he was aiming at. I fired 15 CCI standard .22LR loads, 15 CCI quiet loads, and 20 Winchester .22win mags. It will take some ammo to get good at this gun. But since it will be used in close up vermin removal. I will be practicing some more, it took 5 rounds to get it on the paper. I made the mistake of using small 12x12 targets. I had the most trouble with the win mags. All in all it delivered as promised. There was two separate warnings about certain Ammo use The only downside I have found is it will take some practice with an empty cylinder to get the safety notches engage but it does work holding the hammer in between live rounds.

Interesting... to call out two brands is pretty damning. I wonder what the deal is with that. I have not seen these documents before. I did know about the between round locking function however. Is a good way to handle safety I suppose. You say it will take practice to get good with this gun, but how do you quantify "good" with a firearm of this class? I have put maybe a couple hundred rounds through guns in this class, and there are just limits unless you are like Hickok45 or Jerry Miculek. I am not. This is one of those guns you will not likely ever hear of me using over my chronograph, as I like my chronograph without holes. I consider these a three to five yard firearm tops, for keeping on a 12" target. I still wouldn't mind having one of my own. There is a "buntline" model that has a normal length barrel... which I don't have either. I would be interested in what you are able to achieve as far as accuracy if you are serious about learning to shoot it accurately. MrBlackCat

Neither am I Hickok45 or Jerry Miculek. Roger on the 3/5 yard as This has one purpose for me only that is that racoon with attitude if and when it comes by. It will stand its ground so I should be able to get with in 3 feet or less. Here is one of the targets this is at 25 feet force of habit from the Bullseye league shooting weekly. The 5 yards target and the magnum one have disappeared in to the ether cloud of the interweb. I will say that the Standard and quiet loads were a lot better. Most were in the 8/9 rings. The magnum target wasn't as lucky a lot more in the outer rings and the space around the rings. My biggest problem with the sights as it stands now is there is no rear sight as such, just a slot that your are supposed to use in aiming. Having to only use glasses for close up and reading. My shooting glasses have a compromise half lenses, this gun falls into a slight blur area. But the good news is If it comes down to it the have a laserlyte device that fits the magnum frame.
