I tried the ultrasonic cleaner. . Cleaned up a Colt Combat Commander barrel . Worked great. I did use a heat gun on low to make sure it was dry then sprayed it with Rim oil. Thanks for the tip.

Tried those. They left lint and little hairs and tore if they got caught on anything. You can get them at a medical supply really cheap. You don't pay shipping that way.

If you really like those check out ramrodz.com. they come in different cal. They don't fuzz but there not cheap. You should look in a beauty supply for small cleaning brushes. Not sure what they use them for but there really nice and cheap.

In the bottom of pic 3 in my 3rd post you can't get smaller than that and still be useful. I had something like those for cleaning stuff used some solvent on them and they started melting.

If that solvent will melt a plastic brush, I would not use it on any of my guns. I will say I go way out to keep my guns clean. Not because I think I am going to get into some kind of a gun fight. I really believe I will never be in one or need to use one on a person. I do work hard for my money and am very carful about taking care of them.

I started with the bore snakes years ago. Makes easy cleaning at the range. All I carried was a small bottle of CLP and bore snakes in the range bag. It's best to clean a bore while it's still warm. My trips to the range used to take an hour each way and time spent at the range was a couple of hours easy. Needless to say........I don't have to drive anywhere anymore to shoot. Five acres out in nowhere land and I just step out the back door. Have my steel hanging and targets mounted. 40yd pistol and 75yd rifle. I usually shoot my carry pistol once a week 20 rounds. Clean when I get inside sometimes (Glocks don't need cleaning BTW).
